1. succumb to the fact that no matter how hard he tried, Percy will not go to sleep before 2AM.
2. finish Breaking Bad and debate on whether you hate or love the ending for about 2 weeks.
3. wonder whether most people see Pepperidge Farms goldfish crackers are smiling goldfish, or fish with gills. Percy believes that they are just super cute fish with gills.
also, despite his endorphin-producing mixed martial arts class, Percy broke into tears three times today for no reason whatsoever. twice when writing to Fred and once in front of his mother, Molly Weasley. he almost broke into tears in the middle of a big shopping centre, clutching two new pairs of gaudy gym pants in a muted tealish blue and a printed purple, whilst screaming to himself: I DON'T WANT EID TOMORROW. his father bought him 300g (!) of Cadbury chocolates to comfort him.
PMS perhaps? I sometimes get unwarranted bouts of intense rage right before the monthlies start, but once in a blue moon I'll get the crying-for-no-reason days.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes on the Breaking Bad ending. I had to rewatch the entire series to decide if I liked the ending or not and even then was not sure about it. I love Todd though, I think he was the best character in the whole show...
"succumb to the fact that no matter how hard he tried, Percy will not go to sleep before 2AM." Not necessarily a bad thing...unless you have to get up early for work/school. I used to love staying up late in the summer, writing stories and playing video games into the wee hours. I miss it. Hopefully you're getting enough sleep, wouldn't want you to lose focus whilst saving lives or doing your TRX workouts :)
ReplyDeleteMich might be right about the random crying; I cant say that's happened to me but I do have days where I am edgy and emotional, to the point of throwing fits over stupid little things and making myself appear quite immature. It doesn't help that I cant explain ti to anyone; men my age aren't supposed to show such emotion :/
Here's to a fitter, happier, more productive September!
I'll tell you a secret... a few years ago Dutchman kept getting on me to watch breaking bad with him and that I'd like it. I kept telling him he was wrong. Then one day I decided to go ahead and watch it, and was hooked. Of course I couldn't let him know he'd been right so I had to watch it in secret with my best friend S (she was sworn to secrecy) :D To this day he doesn't know I watched the series (and I also don't know if I like the ending!!)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the weepiness :( I've been plenty weepy lately though I think its PPD / PTSD from the whole NICU experience.
