The Daily Prophet's Breaking News.

it's been officially two months since Percy started drinking his coffee black.
also, there was sort of a situation at his university that might have meant that he was exempt from doing his GP examinations that Percy thinks has been resolved today. unfortunately, he could not Obliviate himself from having a woeful mental breakdown he had yesterday, in front of a coordinator, a psychiologist, a receptionist and the head of GP  that involved about twenty minutes of pathetic, violent sobbing. he supposed the choking on the water (given to him to help him compose himself mind you, instead of wetting his now-crumpled navy blue robes) because he neglected to submit a 700 word reflective account was not one of his most elegant moments.

he also was 20 minutes late to a final last Thursday, because of broomstick traffic.

he does not recall to this day what he has written in his bloody exam, but he hopes that i am not sure if i want to choke on a chocolate frog or if i wish someone else would was not one of the statements.

he supposes he might be unravelling, but he also supposes that all his problems are because of his  problematic ovaries and their insistent on shedding its uterine endometrium lining each month, the fact that he'd used his psychiatry book so many times that its covered managed to disintegrate (unfortunately, he has not disintegrated) and the fact that there is no more posh chocolates in the cupboard anymore.

  1. I cannot abide black coffee. I don't need sugar, but give it to me blonde. I'm considering an elimination diet and the one thing I can't imagine giving up (if it turns out I am sensitive/allergic) is dairy.

I worry about you, Sammy. You strike me as an incredibly capable and smart woman who is just too hard on yourself. Schmucks don't get into medical school.

  2. Don't know how anyone can drink black coffee.... Then again, I have been accused of not liking coffee, but coffee-flavoured things. This may be accurate.

I had a breakdown at work a while back. Because my employers seem to think it is totally fine expecting me to do the work of 3 people, and that it is also fine to shout at me when I cannot keep up with said 3-person workload.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You're going to be a FREAKING DOCTOR and you are amazingly smart. You put in more work than most. <3

  3. Black coffee is life. These days, I don't know how I ever drank sweet milky coffee (or even sweet black coffee).

I can't imagine the pressure you must be under with your studies, but I'm certain you're not the only one who sometimes cracks a little under it.

You're one of the smartest, most determined, and most incredible people I know. You've achieved so much more than most of the population have by your age. I just wish you could give yourself a break, and see yourself the way we all see you, because you're amazing in every way.

Much love to you, Sammy my dear <3
